Earnings of 'Toilet ...' in its early days is Less Than Jab Harry Mate Sejal.
Bollywood legend is getting tough competition at the box office. 'Jab Harry Met Sejal' managed to earn 60 crores at the end of the week.
The beginning of the release of 'Toilet: Ek Prem Katha' has been much less compared to 'Jab Harry Met Sejal'. Based on the social issue, Akshay Kumar film opened his account with earnings of Rs 13 crore.
Trade analysts expected that 'Toilet Ek Prem Katha' will be Akshay Kumar's first film, which will be able to earn Rs 20 crore on the first day. 'Tubelight ' also did not get any significant boost at the box office.
Salman Khan promises to pay 32 crores to the distributors from half the amount of damage done.
Despite struggling with a big movie like 'Kaabil', 'Raees' managed to open its account with a total of about Rs 21 crore. Tubelight also opened its account with 20.5 crore. This thing is clearly showing the strength of the mines in the box office. Apart from 'Baahubali' which was dubbed in Hindi, 'Raees' remained the biggest earning Hindi film of 2017.
Now it is to see how much 'Toilet: Ek Prem Katha' is doing in this weekend because many films have called it a social service film.
